I've always been confused as to what the discrepancy is between the phrases "spirit directed/spirit led" and "inspired".
In the February 2017 Watchtower Study article, paragraph 12 says:
12 The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction. In fact, the Watch Tower Publications Index includes the heading “Beliefs Clarified,” which lists adjustments in our Scriptural understanding since 1870. Of course, Jesus did not tell us that his faithful slave would produce perfect spiritual food. So how can we answer Jesus’ question: “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave?” (Matt. 24:45) What evidence is there that the Governing Body is filling that role? Let us consider the same three factors that directed the governing body in the first century.
So right off the bat, it states that the Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible.
Definition of inspire
a : to influence, move, or guide by divine or supernatural inspiration
In the July 2017 JW Broadcasting, Tony Morris III says "We are proud to be a part of this spirit directed organization."
So they aren't inspired by spirit but are directed by spirit?
What does the article say again in paragraph 12?
"The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore it can err in doctrinal matters and organizational direction."
But how is it possible to err in doctrinal matters and organizational direction if it is a spirit directed organization?
Is there a point I am missing?

What religions/organizations aren't a cult?
by Jules Saturn inso we've already established that most religions can be classified as high control groups, we can name the wbts, church of scientology, lds, etc.
the list goes on and on.
but are there any religions or organizations that aren't classified as a high control group or aren't as bad as the ones i've just mentioned?

@scratchme1010
I came to that conclusion analyzing Steven Hassan's BITE model. Now in my honest opinion, I feel like that BITE model can be applied with most Christian religions, but maybe that's just my personal opinion

So we've already established that most religions can be classified as high control groups, we can name the WBTS, Church of Scientology, LDS, etc. the list goes on and on. But are there any religions or organizations that aren't classified as a high control group or aren't as bad as the ones I've just mentioned? Are ALL organized religions classified as cults? Would a religion have to lack organization to avoid being classified as a cult?

What are your convictions now that you are no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses? Are you a born again Christian? Have you joined another denomination of Christianity? Are you now atheist or agnostic? I ask these questions because of a conversation I had once with my father who said "If none of this is true, then there is no truth." So I thought that his reasoning was pretty interesting, it kind of gave me a little insight as to how a Witness would react to learning TTATT. I've read a lot of experiences of former JWs who lose all faith in God and become atheist or agnostic, and I've also read other experiences of people who have become born again Christians or are practicing another faith. Personally, now that I've learned about the Society, things I never knew when I wasn't "awake", I am unsure of where I stand with my own convictions. And I'm sure this feeling must be normal with anyone who finds out about TTATT. But what made you become an atheist or agnostic or a born again Christian, or even join another denomination or religion? Did you find any questions you had about life finally answered with your new beliefs? Are you on a personal level, happier with your new convictions? Please feel free to share. Thank you.

They've only admitted for causing the hype over 1975 in the 1980 Yearbook, but that's the only thing

Phone call with a disfellowshipped relative
by Jules Saturn inso i call my grandfather who has been inactive for several decades and he's at vacation in puerto rico.
the conversation is normal, we talk about how he's doing down there and how i am doing.
then he tells me that my cousin who i haven't seen in 5 years, is with him and asks if i would like to speak to him; i said yes.

Disfellowshipping should honestly be illegal
